Che Lai Chang has been a commercial banker for over 20 years and currently serves as Managing Director in East West Bank’s Corporate Banking.

As part of her role, Chang oversees a team of experienced relationship managers for the development of cross border relationships. Joined East West Bank in 2011, Chang she has been consistently recognized as a leading expert on U.S.-China cross border financing. She has structured the financing of over a hundred cross border financing over the last 20 years. Her diverse clientele comprises include publicly listed, privately held, and private equity-backed companies in various sectors including manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, retail, consumer products, service, technology, energy and healthcare.

Che Lai first joined HSBC Bank USA’s Commercial Banking as a credit analyst in 2001. After two years of formal credit training, she was promoted to Relationship Manager in 2003 and was named Vice President in 2007. She is also the recipient of several prestigious awards including HSBC’s Relationship Manager of the Year. Chang graduated from Pace University with a BBA in finance and economics and an MBA in financial management.

Che Lai and her husband reside in Chappaqua, NY where they are devoted parents to their two children, ages 10 and 8.
