Key Speaker: Amy Salo, CFP, CAP, CEXP
Managing Partner, Forest Hills Financial Group
I've always believed that knowledge isn't just power—it's empowerment. Unfortunately, my career in financial services has revealed a glaring truth: many aren't getting the advice they deserve, and those who do aren't getting the full picture.
My mission is to transform advisory into an industry that’s genuinely consumer-centric, champions diversity, and collaboratively seeks improved outcomes to propel economic mobility in our communities. It’s a mission we can only achieve by working together to alter the way people perceive our profession.
Together with my partners, I'm proud to spearhead Forest Hills Financial Group (FHFG), where we foster a culture that magnetizes, nurtures, and retains a dedicated team of advisors. Our mission? Ensure the next generation prospers more than the last. At FHFG, we're not just about numbers—though 30,000 clients and about 100 career agents are a testament to our reach—but about instilling a business-owner mindset. This approach, fortified by a fierce focus on customer-driven and innovative planning techniques, positions our advisors among the nation’s best and contributes to an advisor retention rate well above average.
In addition to my role at FHFG, I have the distinct honor of serving as a director on the Finseca board (Financial Security for All), as chair of the Government Affairs Committee, the Standard of Conduct Committee, and as past chair of the Retirement and Holistic Planning working group. I am also a member of the Leadership Development and Training committees with Guardian’s Field Advisory Board. In all these roles, I wholeheartedly advocate for diversity and proper financial education within all communities.
